Zenobia shipwreck in Cyprus is rated as one of the best shipwreck diving sites in the world and an absolute must-do for experienced divers!
Zenobia is a 178 meter long Ferry that sank in 40 meters of water on her maiden voyage in 1980. The shipwreck is just 1.4 kilometers off the coast of Larnaca. Since then it has developed into a beautiful man-made wreck. With no salvage work being allowed and over 104 heavy Lorries, industrial machinery, cars, and extensive cargo of more than two hundred million pounds worth, the Zenobia really is a diver’s paradise.
Your Zenobia Shipwreck Dive day trips start with your pick up from centrally located hotels in Ayia Napa or Protaras area. You will be transferred to the dive center where you will pack all the necessary equipment.
You will then be transferred to Larnaca Marina where you will embark on a chartered catamaran (this is a huge double deck catamaran and is by far the best dive boat available for charter). Enjoy a 20 minutes cruise to Zenobia shipwreck. You will have a briefing on the dive and put equipment on.
There are 2 dives to Zenobia Shipwreck on the same day… (Single check dive needs to be arranged any day prior to Zenobia dives)
Dive 1 is normally to the stern and includes seeing lots of Zenobia’s articulated Lorries, the funnels, the tailgate, and the massive propellers.
Dive 2 is towards the bow and includes seeing all the main superstructure, the lifeboats, the bridge, accommodation areas, and the cafeteria of Zenobia.
NB. There is a 1-2 hour interval between the dives for refreshments and a BBQ is served at the end of the 2nd dive.
