The tour begins and ends conveniently at your hotel in the Paphos area, with pick-up at approximately 08.30 am and drop-off around 4:00 pm.

Discover a range of landscapes as we traverse this captivating region, accessing hidden gems accessible only to 4×4 vehicles. Our adventure will take us to the Sea Caves Area in Peyia, Paphos, offering captivating views along the coastline. Delve into the splendor of Avakas Gorge, with its abundant local flora and fauna. Our route will also lead us to the Turtle Museum, where you can gain insightful knowledge about these unique creatures. In June and September, you may even witness successful hatchings at the protected Turtle Beach in Akamas.

Ride through the mesmerizing landscapes of the Akamas Peninsula during our Jeep Safari and witness the unparalleled natural beauty that Cyprus has to offer. Indulge in a mouthwatering traditional dish and sample local wine during our lunch break at a charming tavern (not included in the tour price).

Immerse yourself in Greek mythology as we visit the legendary Baths of Aphrodite, where the goddess of love and beauty was said to have bathed. Along the way, catch glimpses of the characteristic Cypriot villages of Arodes and Latchi.

Highlights

The Avakas Gorge: Perhaps Cyprus’ most impressive natural wonder, this deep canyon is famous for the sheer walls of limestone that come narrowly together to form a natural tunnel. A not-too-strenuous walk, duration of 30-40 minutes in total, is required to see the best parts of the Gorge. Some sections are sun-exposed, but mostly we walk in shadow over sometimes slippery boulders. Decent footwear is advised.
Lara and the Turtle Conservation Project: We visit one of the most important (and pristine) beaches in the entire Mediterranean, Lara Beach, where the Cyprus Turtle Conservation Project has been saving endangered sea turtles from extinction for three decades. Learn the secrets of these sensitive and delightful sea creatures as we take you through the conservation exhibits at the beach. (Note: Turtle nesting season is June-August; the nests hatch until early October.)
Lara bay coastline: Enjoy breathtaking views, then swim (April-October), where the water is always calm, and the sea is a rare shade of aquamarine, or relax and enjoy a coffee or a drink at the nearby beach coffee shop.
This fullday adventure includes several sections of “off-road” driving. Dust and bumps are part of the process.
